Alicante erotic toy company Diversual expands to France
Diversual, an Alicante based company, specializes in the sale and distribution of erotic toys. A significant portion of its current offerings are produced under its own brand, with about 60% of the product line managed in house. This in‑house range contributes roughly 4.2 million euros to the annual turnover, a figure the company reports for itself. Headquartered in Sant Joan d’Alacant, Diversual has recently sharpened its market positioning by launching a personalized line of products designed and produced to meet specific customer needs.
Founded a decade ago by Fernando Martínez and Puria Shahdoost, the business began as a multi‑brand store operating like a marketplace where prominent brands such as Satisfyer, Lelo, Lovense, and others led the catalog. The strong positioning and reliable service boosted orders and nurtured a growing base of regular customers. The store also carries its own products and operates its facilities in Alicante, employing about twenty staff members.
For ten years, Diversual has functioned as a sexuality laboratory where feedback from the Erotic Academy and real user experiences informs product development. A community exceeding 2.5 million people provides information and insights to teams of sexologists and sexual health experts to tailor products that address diverse needs.

“We began production after recognizing gaps in existing models that hadn’t seen updates since the 1990s. Customers asked for specific sizes, shapes, and functionalities, and we built products to meet those exact specifications,” explains Diversual’s CEO Fernando Martínez.
“Our best selling testimonials show that these products consistently receive strong reviews and gradually gain prominence, becoming recognized models within the industry,” he adds.

Focus on study, observation, adaptation, and continuous improvement drives success. The product team asserts that the toys meet or exceed the quality of well known brands. “We innovate and improve luxury products within the industry every day,” says Puria Shahdoost-Rad, Diversual’s Product Manager.
Most Diversual items are widely sold on marketplaces including Amazon, Miravia, and PcComponentes, and it is expected that the range will be available in most physical erotic stores and sex shops in the coming months. What began as an online retailer of multiple brands has evolved into a reference point in the industry, producing and distributing through major distribution channels.

Increase for Valentine’s Day
The Alicante operation currently features around 150 self‑made references, with collaboration from local suppliers in the province and packaging designed by the Diversual team in Alicante and produced in Onil.
For the upcoming Valentine’s Day, Diversual anticipates demand to rise by about 64%. This trend marks a shift toward erotic toys as integral parts of sexual life across a broad range of ages and genders.
