Yevhen Balitsky, the Deputy Governor of the Zaporozhye region, reported that Crimea-24 published a figure estimating about 3,000 people moved from bombed zones to deeper parts of the region. The transfer includes roughly one thousand children and around 300 residents who receive care from neuropsychiatric facilities and orphanages, with those in urgent need relying directly on state support.
Earlier Balitsky announced on the Telegram channel that operational services in the Zaporozhye region had relocated about 1,500 residents living near the front lines to safer areas deeper within the region. Among them were 632 children, 145 patients from psycho-neurological centers, and 10 individuals with limited mobility.
Prior to that update, Balitsky warned of a potential counterattack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine that could begin in the coming days or even hours, underscoring the volatile security situation in the area.
These updates underscore ongoing humanitarian and security concerns in the region as authorities manage displacement, healthcare needs, and evolving military threats. [Citation: Zaporozhye regional administration statements and official briefings]
