summary:

The UN Secretary General announces a catastrophic event: a massive meteorite will strike Earth in three days. There is no hope for survival after the collision, and the world braces for a moment of collective reckoning. In the small, close-knit town of Laguna, the news sparks a wave of fear, confusion, and desolation. People scramble to cling to the routines that keep a sliver of normalcy alive, while others surrender to despair. Among them is Ale, a young man who lives with his mother and earns a living through freelance work at home. As the clock ticks down, Ale initially chooses to withdraw from the world, spending his last days as if in a prison of his own design, drinking, listening to his favorite music, and trying to escape the reality looming outside the door.

But the narrative takes an unexpected turn when Lucio, a stranger with ambiguous motives, enters the scene. Lucio must step into a precarious role to shield Rosa, Ale’s mother, and to help protect Rosa’s brother’s four children as danger approaches. The dynamic shifts as Lucio navigates a fragile balance between self-preservation and a sense of duty toward those vulnerable lives. The film unspools a tense drama that examines how ordinary people confront extraordinary threats, revealing courage, hesitation, and moments of quiet mercy in the face of annihilation.

As the world hurtles toward catastrophe, the townsfolk of Laguna confront not just the external threat but also a deeper examination of trust, family bonds, and the choices that define who they are when every prospect of a future seems to vanish. The tension is built through intimate scenes, character-driven revelations, and a persistent undercurrent of uncertain fate that keeps viewers attentive to every decision and every consequence. In the end, the story rises from the fear of extinction to a meditation on resilience, communal support, and the human capacity to protect one another even in the most dire circumstances.
