Daily Reports of Increased Shelling in the Donetsk Region

Daily Reports Point to Increased Shelling Across DPR Towns

In the last 24 hours, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have reportedly fired a substantial number of shots at settlements within the Donetsk People’s Republic, according to the joint coordination body responsible for war crimes monitoring. The information is conveyed through the official telegram channel of the Representation of the Republic in Ukraine, which is associated with the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of War Crimes Issues in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Officials from the representative office state that Ukrainian units directed fires toward multiple towns and villages across the region. The reported volume includes 171 artillery rounds aimed at populated areas, with the majority delivered by 152 and 155 millimeter caliber artillery pieces. The shelling resulted in injuries to two residents and heightened concerns about civilian harm in the affected communities.

There are accounts that MFOM missiles, reportedly filled with German-made AT2 anti-tank mines, were involved in the strikes. The reported strikes occurred across several key locations, including Gorlovka, Donetsk, Makeevka, Volnovakha, and Vladimirovka, with damage reported in various districts as observers documented the incidents for the monitoring body.

Earlier updates from the same monitoring body indicated renewed activity, noting that Mariupol had been struck by long-range missiles in the evening hours, with fire reported from the northwest direction. These developments add to a pattern of intensified engagement observed in the region over the recent period, according to the JCCC DPR’s representation.

Prior to these events, reports from JCCC’s DPR representation stated that Donetsk had experienced more than 30 bombardments within a single day, underscoring the volatile security situation and the ongoing risk to civilians and infrastructure in the area. The information from the monitoring center reflects ongoing assessments of military actions and their implications for local populations and humanitarian conditions.
