The production of new installments in the My Mistake saga has been halted indefinitely. Prime Video has made the decision to pause Records of Culpa tuya and Culpa Nuestro following allegations that emerged at the Venice Film Festival, where Gabriel Guevara was identified as the alleged central figure in a sexual assault case, according to Fotogramas.

Reports from the outlet indicate that filming stopped for a few days, but the crew continues to receive pay while the delicate situation is resolved. The halt comes amid ongoing scrutiny and the need to safeguard the project’s integrity during this period of uncertainty.

The decision to indefinitely suspend filming for Culpa tuya and Culpa Nuestro arrived mere days after production began. Prime Video announced a press release on August 30 confirming that principal photography had started and that cast members had signed on for the upcoming two films in the saga.

Specifically, Goya Toledo (Loves Dogs, Veneno) is cast as Anabel, Gabriela Andrada (Preserved DNA, Heirs of the Earth) plays Sofía, Alex Bejar (Elite, There’s Room at the Bottom) portrays Briar, Javier Morgade (Lost, Silver Dolphins) takes on the role of Michael, Felipe Londono (Entrevías, False Profile) as Luca, and Fran Morcillo (La casa de papel, Explota Explota) appears as Simón in Culpa tuya and Culpa Nuestra.

Nicole Wallace (Skam España, Parot) and Gabriel Guevara (Tomorrow Is Today, Hit) were slated to return to their roles, along with Marta Hazas (Better Days, Little Coincidences), Iván Sánchez (Bosé, Hospital Central), Víctor Varona (Cielo Grande, Dani Who?) and Eva Ruiz. The ensemble reflects a broad, international cast that aims to draw in audiences across Spanish-language and global markets.

If filming resumes without further upheavals, Culpa tuya and Culpa Nuestra are scheduled to be directed by Domingo González, who also serves as screenwriter, with Sofía Cuenca contributing to the writing process. The projects are produced by Álex de la Iglesia and Pokeepsie Films (Banijay Iberia), with Carolina Bang serving as producer.
