In Primorye, a group wearing special forces-style outfits and presenting themselves as security personnel defeated a customs officer and stole 1.5 million rubles. A Telegram channel associated with Amur Paste reported that the officer was hustled into a car, and meanwhile the assailants took the keys to his apartment.
The ambush occurred in the parking area outside the officer’s residence. A car approached with three masked men who claimed they were from the FSB and the investigative department. They accused the officer of concealing 20 million rubles for someone else and insisted on obtaining the apartment keys so they could conduct a search for the supposed money.
The officer’s partner, terrified by the situation, ended up cooperating under pressure. One of the assailants drove off to inspect the apartment, while the other two criminals remained inside the vehicle with the officer’s accompanying companion, a frightened woman. Shortly after, the officer was ejected from the car with the keys in hand.
Back at the residence, the officer discovered that 1.5 million rubles had vanished from a closet where the family kept their savings. They had set the money aside there for the family’s needs. In addition to the cash, a bottle of expensive perfume and a gift intended for a friend were also reported missing.
Earlier reports suggested a separate incident in Moscow, where a passerby was assaulted and robbed near a railroad area. The details around that case indicated a pattern of violent theft targeting pedestrians, though the exact circumstances and suspects remained unclear at the time of the reporting.
The Primorye incident underscores the vulnerability of security personnel and civilians when confronted by perpetrators who stage official identities. Investigators will likely examine the route taken by the attackers, the sequence of events at the residence, and any possible links to larger criminal networks that may be attempting to exploit the credibility of state symbols. Local police are urging residents to remain vigilant and to verify any suspicious claims of authority before complying with requests that involve sensitive access to homes or personal belongings.
Authorities emphasized the importance of reporting any similar encounters promptly, especially when individuals in uniforms approach private residences with claims of official authority. The investigation is expected to include reviews of surveillance footage from the parking area, interviews with neighbors, and checks on property records to determine how the assailants identified the officer and whether this operation had planned timing or coordination beyond the immediate theft.
