The platform comprises three modules designed to assist Ukrainian refugees and other newcomers. One module focuses on information, delivering content in Spanish and Ukrainian from the European Union, the Spanish Government, autonomous communities, and NGOs. A second module centers on education, created in collaboration with UNED and aimed at building Spanish language skills while also offering training modules from partner companies. The third module serves as an employment portal that presents vacancy information in Spanish, English, and Ukrainian. Major employment agencies operating in Spain participate, including Randstad, Jobandtalent, Adecco, and Manpower.

job postings

Open job postings appear online and in person. An agreement exists between the CEOE Foundation and the Department of Inclusion to support this process. There is a dedicated information point at each of the four CREADE centers for Ukrainian refugees in Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante, and Malaga, aligning with the arrival of Companies for Ukraine and providing personal assistance from reception staff. This collaboration ensures that refugees receive timely help as they navigate the job market.

Carmen Aparicio leads the project team, noting that job offers undergo verification by the Foundation before publication on the platform. The project also features explanatory posters placed in police stations so that Ukrainians passing through administrative facilities can easily access information about opportunities. This approach aims to make the job search straightforward for newcomers who must complete various administrative tasks.

Solidarity is measured by actions, not words, stated Antonio Garamendi, president of the CEOE, during the platform’s presentation. He emphasized that entrepreneurs contribute to a concrete commitment: creating employment opportunities. He pointed out existing labor shortages in several sectors, including construction, transportation, and technology, and highlighted the potential for integration and a future-oriented path for those arriving in the country. The message is clear: there are jobs to fill, and these roles can become stepping stones for new residents to settle and thrive.

The CEOE Foundation established Companies for Ukraine as part of the Auxiliary Companies program launched in April 2020, offering economic support and goods to the communities most affected by the crisis. The platform benefits from technical support provided by Universia, associated with Banco Santander, and from guidance and coordination offered by the consulting firm Oliver Wyman. This collaboration reinforces the platform’s capacity to connect refugees with meaningful employment and educational resources while ensuring reliable information and streamlined processes.
