The committee also underscored its firm commitment to safeguarding the rights of its staff following the arrest of a security guard employed at the COE premises through an external company. The individual is accused of ejaculating into the metal water bottles belonging to two female coworkers on several occasions. The COE described the incident as a serious breach of trust and safety within the workplace.
According to the COE, the facts were discovered months earlier after a review of footage from the internal security system at the headquarters. The review promptly alerted the police and led to a formal complaint through the appropriate channels, ensuring that authorities were informed without delay.
Disciplinary measures
Previously, the affected employees were informed and provided with all the resources of the organization to protect their rights. The COE also reported the incident to the external security provider and outlined the disciplinary and security actions taken by the organization, which completely barred the alleged individual from entering COE facilities.
