On January 16, the Tagansky District Court of Moscow opened a class-action suit brought by plaintiffs seeking moral damages amounting to 1 billion rubles. The action targets TV presenter and blogger Anastasia Ivleeva over a provocative event described as a naked party at the Mutabor club. The information has been reported by TASS, the state-run news agency. The court filing also includes other firms that participated in organizing the party as defendants in the case.
The requested amount of compensation remains unchanged from a prior filing, which was dismissed earlier. Following the December party, Ivleeva faced a fine of 100 thousand rubles for violating public order, and the Mutabor club faced a 90-day suspension of operations due to sanitary violations cited at the time.
After the event, several attendees faced scrutiny as photographs and videos from the party circulated publicly. Activists contacted law enforcement authorities to request an investigation into potential LGBT propaganda connected to the gathering. It should be noted that in Russia the organization International Social Movement of LGBT is designated as extremist and is prohibited by law.
Ksenia Sobchak has appeared in public for the first time since the episode, signaling a public return to the spotlight amid ongoing discussion about the affair.
The party occurred on December 20, 2023. Among the guests were Sobchak as well as Lolita Milyavskaya, Olga Orlova, Philip Kirkorov, Dzhigan, Oksana Samoilova, and Dima Bilan. Ivleeva and the other involved figures issued apologies for attending the public event and for the subsequent backlash it provoked, attempting to address the controversy through statements and social media posts.
Earlier, Lolita Milyavskaya had teased Victoria Boni’s philosophy in a public exchange, adding another layer to the series of public remarks tied to the incident.
