Clashes erupted in Mach town, located in the western Pakistani province of Balochistan, as security forces confronted suspected terrorists. The confrontation resulted in significant casualties, with reports indicating fifteen people killed, including four law enforcement personnel and two civilians, alongside a number of militants. The fighting involved multiple assailants, among them individuals who carried out suicide bombings during the assault.

According to the Pakistan Army Information Bureau, the incident occurred late Monday into Tuesday. The report described a bold assault by a large contingent of terrorists targeting the Mach and Kolpur complexes. In the immediate aftermath, security forces mobilized quickly in the surrounding area to contain the threat and conduct a coordinated operation. By official accounts, nine militants had been killed, including three who carried out suicide missions, and three attackers sustained injuries. The toll on security personnel and civilians rose as the clash persisted, with four officers and two civilians losing their lives during the intense firefight.

The ISPR stressed that the swift and resolute response by law enforcement reflects their relentless commitment to counterterrorism. It noted that security forces operate in close coordination with other responsible institutions to safeguard peace and stability across the country, emphasizing a united front against violence and insurgent threats.

Earlier in the day, the province’s Information Minister stated that six suspects had been eliminated in the operation following a rocket attack that had forced some residents to shelter indoors amid explosions and gunfire. The ongoing security operations aimed to disrupt the militant network, protect civilians, and restore normalcy to affected neighborhoods while continuing to pursue those responsible for the assault.
