The deputy minister of industry and trade for the Russian Federation, Kirill Lysogorsky, accused Ukrainian intelligence services of deploying chemical weapons against leaders of the regions that aligned with Moscow in 2022. He delivered these assertions during a session of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, where he led the Russian delegation, as reported by RIA News.

According to his remarks, toxic chemicals and psychotropic substances were used against the newly installed regional officials. He claimed that Russia possessed clear evidence of toxic chemical supplies funneled to Ukraine from the United States and allied nations.

Earlier, Yan Gagin, an adviser to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, asserted that Ukrainian forces had used chemical weapons toward Artemovsk and Donetsk. Gagin added that chloropicrin was among the agents employed and noted that, prior to the onset of poisoning symptoms, witnesses could detect a distinctive odor in the air.

Meanwhile, members of the Palestinian Hamas movement who had previously infiltrated Israel reportedly discovered instructions for producing chemical weapons.
