Civil Guard Operation Namhek unfolded under strict police oversight as four men, aged between 30 and 40 and drawing a wide array of backgrounds, faced arrest on 21 charges. The offenses ranged from forced robbery to membership in a criminal group and drug trafficking. Those taken into custody were referred to Instruction Court No. 4 in Villajoyosa for further processing.

In mid-October, the Callosa d’en Sarriá Civil Guard responded to a violent home robbery report where the victims were inside the residence during the incident. Acting on the information supplied by the victims, authorities launched Operation Namhek to clarify the events and establish a solid evidentiary base.

During the initial phase of the investigation, investigators identified the suspects through continuous surveillance and investigative findings. Four individuals were singled out as alleged perpetrators connected to the crimes under investigation in the town.

After verifying each suspect’s identity and reviewing the available evidence, investigators linked them to a pattern of 20 additional forceful robberies carried out in Callosa de Ensarriá, Polop, and La Nucía. The inquiry also established ties to the possession and use of drugs, with possible trafficking activity under consideration but not yet fully ruled out.

On November 30, the operation culminated with the support of patrols from the Calpe Civil Guard Company, teams from the Alicante Sinological Service, and the Valencia Civil Guard Reserve and Security Group (ARS). One of the four suspects faced apprehension in Callosa de Ensarriá while the remaining three were located in La Nucía through coordinated location-detection techniques. A subsequent series of home searches in Callosa de Ensarría yielded cash, jewelry, luxury watches, fashion items, and 12 mobile devices. Seized narcotics included 1,100 grams of marijuana, assorted individual doses, and precision scales, along with tools, gloves, ski masks, and other items that could be linked to the criminal activity.

Four detainees, all adult males with lengthy criminal records, were charged with membership in a criminal organization, 21 counts of extortion by force and drug trafficking. They were sent to Instruction No. 4 of Villajoyosa for processing, with court-ordered injunctions granted for temporary release conditions as the case progresses.

The Civil Guard returned a portion of the seized assets to rightful owners and continued efforts to identify the others who might claim belongings. While some victims had already been identified, investigators warned that new victims could emerge as the inquiry advances. This operation also led to the temporary shutdown of several retail pharmaceutical outlets in Callosa de Ensarriá, reflecting the broader impact of the criminal network on local commerce and community safety.
