A civil guard intervention enabled the discovery and dismantling of a gender-based violence case stemming from a quarrel between a couple in Torrevieja. At a local pharmacy with a small greenhouse, the manager also cultivated hallucinogenic mushrooms. The man had a prior police record for similar offenses. After his arrest and subsequent judicial processing, authorities ordered his release on charges and with injunctive measures, as reported by the Alicante Command.
The arrest came after the Civil Guard received a notification about a potential family conflict at a residence in Torrevieja where the couple lives.
A patrol from the Torrevieja Main Post responded urgently, as officials suspected gender violence. Upon arrival, a man and a woman, both Spanish nationals, were identified at the home.

Following the identification and initial handling of the domestic dispute, investigators determined that the man was involved in drug-related activities and had concealed several narcotics within the dwelling.
During the search, authorities seized a total of 12 grams of cannabis, 35 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, 400 grams of marijuana, 18 grams of methamphetamine, 128 grams of a cutting agent used for drugs, over 12 grams in total of the cutting substances, 800 pharmaceutical opium pills of various brands without proper prescriptions, a marijuana plant prepared for drying, weighing and cutting utensils, 500 euros in multiple denominations, and a compressed air pistol resembling a firearm.
A notable finding during the operation was a homemade mini greenhouse used for the illegal cultivation of hallucinogenic mushrooms.
The man was arrested on suspicion of crimes against public health related to drug trafficking and was placed at the disposal of the Torrevieja court of duty, where he was ordered to be released on injunctive measures.
