The Civil Guard has reported the arrest of a neighbor from Totana in connection with deliberate sexual assaults on at least three women in Altea. The suspect, who is in custody, allegedly pretended to be a physical therapist and offered massage services as a pretext for abuse. The official statement from the Benemérita notes that the individual, while posing as a healthcare professional, assaulted and sexually harassed victims within the confines of a private office setting.

According to authorities, the suspect allegedly sought the services of female physiotherapists in the homes of potential clients. The investigations now involve three confirmed sexual assault charges, with the possibility of additional victims under review as inquiries continue.

intrusion

In the course of a home search, forensic police investigators uncovered forged documents along with items used to lend credibility to the asserted professional trespass. The material recovered also included technological equipment believed to be connected to the criminal activity under investigation.

There is evidence indicating the detainee participated in the crimes that are being examined, and there are indications that more victims may be involved, the Civil Guard noted.

environmental bullying

The case began to unfold last month after a young woman filed a complaint. The Benemérita stated that the complainant described a man who claimed to provide therapeutic massage services at her home and who exploited a position of authority and the surrounding environment to coerce sexual acts.

Following the discovery of biological traces left at the scene and later citizen collaboration, the authorities say two additional victims were identified as connected to the same individual. These two cases date from the previous year, though the incidents were not reported at that time.

The presence of a Civil Guard record at the suspect’s residence was documented as part of the ongoing process.

The Armed Institute added that the analysis of information collected during the investigation allowed judicial police experts to build a criminal profile and locate the alleged offender. The profile also indicated potential female victims who appeared to be young and of South American origin.

The suspect is said to have used various tactics to approach and isolate potential victims. He allegedly posed as a legitimate physiotherapist or massage therapist to gain access to homes, repeatedly offering home visits and therapeutic services as a means to reach targets and commit offenses. Reports also indicate that he rented a room in victims’ homes to create situations of isolation that facilitated the exploitation of his sexual desires.

During the operation, the Totana Forensic Police Team worked in coordination with colleagues from Altea to advance the case and ensure a thorough examination of all leads.
