Ciempozuelos shooting widely reported in Madrid and beyond

One of two men shot in Ciempozuelos on August 5 died this Tuesday at the Octubre Hospital in Madrid, according to health center sources cited by Europa Press today. The incident drew immediate attention to a tense safety situation in the area and prompted ongoing official inquiries.

The man who died is identified as René Jesús Alnick, a 40-year-old Peruvian national also known by the nickname Crazy Aron, and linked to a circle described by some Peruvian media outlets as a crime syndicate sometimes referred to as Bayóvar’s curse. Reports state that this network has been associated with violent crimes including murders, extortion, robberies, harassment, and threats.

Alnick, sometimes referred to in connection with el loco Aroni, is said to have worked with associates who authorities describe as dangerous and capable of lethal violence. In a separate portion of the same reports, two other individuals are mentioned as notable criminals in Peru, a music-events businessman and the director of a training center, with the group allegedly responsible for seven crimes in total. Police sources indicate that a criminal cohort connected to Alnick was involved in a separate 2014 murder outside a nightclub, in which an accomplice was also killed.

According to the same accounts, law enforcement in Peru arrested Alnick in the past. He left the country in 2016 but was released on precautionary measures pending trial. Thereafter, he reportedly continued to engage in intimidation campaigns against businessmen and their families within the civilian construction sector, as described by the cited sources.

René Jesús tied to recent events had his most recent arrest in January 2021, for participation in an illegal gathering during a pandemic period. Months later he reportedly relocated to Spain. The Civil Guard is said to be examining whether any branch of assassins exists connected to these activities. The current murder is described as potentially tied to a confrontation over dates associated with prior criminal actions. (Source context: Europa Press and related Peruvian media reporting.)

Ciempozuelos shooting

The incident occurred around 1:00 p.m. on August 5 along Avenida Instituto in Ciempozuelos. Eyewitnesses recall two men arriving on a motorcycle and firing several shots at the two men walking on the street before both attackers fled in the same vehicle. The scorched scene left by the assailants prompted urgent response from first responders.

The deceased sustained four gunshot wounds, two in the chest and two in the neck. Paramedics from Summa 112 attended to him at the scene and then evacuated him by helicopter to Octubre Hospital around noon, where he remained in critical condition until his death on Tuesday due to the severity of the injuries. A second man, aged over 25, was wounded on the left upper extremity and also transported to the hospital with a grave prognosis. He remains alive as of the latest updates in this coverage.

Summa clinicians were on site, and a helicopter landing took place at the scene. During the landing, a bystander reportedly caused a disruption, and authorities later identified the individual from video footage captured by a neighbor. The Civil Guard issued an instruction to the Local Police on the 8th, and the person in question was subsequently arrested on Wednesday for assaulting an officer. The investigation continues, with officials tracing possible links to organized crime networks observed in related reporting and analyzing the broader context of violence in the area.
