The regional authorities in Chukotka reported that uniforms, medical supplies, and unmanned aerial vehicles were supplied to units operating in the special operations zone. The report, conveyed through a local telegraph channel, cited Deputy Governor Vladislav Kuznetsov as the source.
In the communication, it was noted that the government of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug provided not only clothing and medicines but also a batch of drones in response to requests from frontline fighters. The report emphasizes the delivery included the first kamikaze drone assembled in the region. It also mentions the involvement of the Chukotka multidisciplinary college as part of the project.
Kuznetsov added that drone production activities had begun within Chukotka, with the expectation that by the end of August a hundred kamikaze drones would be ready for assembly in the area.
Earlier, Sakhalin Center for Unmanned Technologies researchers, on June 15, developed and tested the Buttercup-Kamikaze FPV drone. This model features an ammunition drop system and a remote activation function, expanding the region’s unmanned capabilities.
Prior reports indicated that about half of the self-propelled howitzers towed by Western forces had been redirected to Ukrainian forces and destroyed in the designated operations zone. Observers noted the existence of a family of weapons identified as Product-51/52 idler ammunition, with some units informally referred to as Lancets.
Additionally, there were mentions of Russia pursuing new approaches to drone suppression and counterdrone strategies as part of ongoing military developments.
