Everything is ready for the premiere of Chinese Tales, marking the long awaited return to screens. Jorge Javier Vázquez stars in Telecinco’s new format after the end of Save Me. The show will go head to head with El Hormiguero on Antena 3, with the first broadcast scheduled for Monday, September 11 at 10 pm.
Risto Mejide’s Everything is a Lie project has enlisted collaborators Antonio Castelo and Virginia Riezu to join Jorge Javier in this exclusive Yotele production. The lineup also features Anabel Alonso, Athenea Pérez, and German González, bringing a mix of humor, insight, and personality to the program.
Susi Caramelo and Josep Ferré complete the core cast of Chinese Tales. Each episode will include a famous guest, interviews, and a variety of segments and games. Viewers will get a privileged front-row seat to the action and will be invited to participate in select activities. One recurring character, Jing Jing, played by Carla Pulpón, a performer known for bringing Mapi to life on another program, will contribute ideas and vibes to certain challenges.
Chinese Tales episodes
Beyond the interviews conducted by Jorge Javier, Chinese Tales will present a collection of short stories and games that showcase a broad team of collaborators. The program highlights a diverse blend of voices and formats that keep the energy high and the dialogue lively.
In one segment titled Sushi at Home, Susi Caramelo will channel the appetite and charm of a true traveler, visiting celebrities’ homes with a backpack on her shoulder. She will order an Asian meal, unveil little-known corners of the hosts’ lives, and share memorable anecdotes along the way. The premise blends curiosity with humor, letting viewers glimpse candid moments behind the glamour.
Another feature, These Are Not Tall Tales! Anabel Alonso will oversee a quirky news-style segment where she presents stories that feel important but are intentionally packed with fiction and satire. The aim is playful criticism rather than real-world headlines, providing a comedic counterpoint to the more serious segments.
Antonio Castelo and Virginia Riezu step into new roles as analysts of current events from a perspective rooted in entertainment. Both bring a background of improvisation and collaboration with the show’s cast, offering their takes on celebrity culture and the most talked-about stories of the moment.
Josep Ferré will deliver his signature impersonations, offering an extra layer of humor by stepping into new characters that reflect contemporary trends and personalities. His impressions will serve as a flexible, entertaining bridge between segments.
In Mission Impossible, Athenea Pérez, a model who earned Miss Universe Spain 2023 and represented the country at Miss Universe, makes her television debut with a clear mission: challenge stereotypes about the world of beauty pageants and invite viewers to rethink appearances and narratives surrounding fame and success.
Lotobombo presents a playful and unconventional take on the lottery concept. Germán González will unveil a quirky format in which very few participants actually win prizes, turning the set into a lively spectator showcase rather than a straightforward game. The surreal premise aims to entertain through humor and surprise rather than conventional competition.
