According to the parents, the girl is not subjected to regular beatings. They also stated that after the first interventions, the child consulted the school psychologist and the issue was said to be resolved.

A while later, neighbors alerted the police with reports of screams coming from the family’s residence. When a juvenile affairs inspector arrived, the female student claimed there was no one at home and that everything was fine.

Following the incident, another PDN representative contacted the child. The boy disclosed that his parents had been beaten.

Law enforcement officials opened an inquiry and began a formal investigation into the matter.

“Having reason to believe the child was in a socially dangerous situation, the girl was removed from the family and placed in a social rehabilitation center,” the publication noted.

The question of whether criminal proceedings would be initiated is currently being decided.

The stepfather had reportedly been in Kamchatka prior to the accusations. He said that his wife shocked their children and deprived them of food.
