Chechnya’s leader, Ramzan Kadyrov, released a statement via his Telegram channel announcing the deployment of a fresh batch of volunteers to Ukraine. The message outlined the ongoing recruitment and training efforts, underscoring a persistent commitment to supporting operations in the region and reinforcing the broader security posture of the republic.
According to Kadyrov, the two week accelerated program focused on tactics and live fire training was conducted at the Russian Special Forces University in Gudermes. He described the graduates as fighters from across Russia who carried a strong resolve. The statement emphasized their readiness to participate in what he framed as a fight for truth and justice within the Donbass and Ukraine, projecting a narrative of principled intervention and collective duty among those enlisting for duty along this front.
In a related development, President Vladimir Putin publicly recognized Apta Alaudinov, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Chechen Republic, with the honorary title Hero of Russia. The recognition cited Alaudinov’s professional conduct and effectiveness in carrying out tasks assigned during the special operations in Ukraine, framing the award as a reflection of his leadership and operational success in the field.
Earlier, Zamid Chalaev, who serves as the Commander of the Special Purpose Police Regiment within Chechnya’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, was also honored with the Hero of Russia title. The acknowledgement highlighted Chalaev’s service and the role of his unit in the broader campaign, marking another instance of formal recognition from the central authorities for distinguished performance in Ukraine-related operations.
