Across several cities in the Lugansk People’s Republic, ceremonies were held on the eve of International Women’s Day to honor exceptional women serving in the LPR People’s Militia, in the medical field, and in education. The reports came through district administration Telegram channels, highlighting the community’s appreciation for these professionals.
The head of the Stakhanov city administration, Sergei Zhevlakov, publicly thanked the women who dedicate their lives to service within the LPR people’s militia. He noted that their responsibilities extend beyond the home, emphasizing that they shoulder important duties alongside the defenders of the region.
Recipients in the LPR People’s Militia were greeted with fresh flowers from the administration—a simple gesture of gratitude for their commitment and bravery.
In Krasnodon, teachers were presented with certificates and bouquets by city administrator Sergey Kozenko. The event featured readings of poems and songs by colleagues and students, celebrating the teachers’ contributions.
Kozenko praised the region’s teachers as those who impart knowledge and warmth to the younger generation, adding that the gathering aimed to give them a moment of respite and recognition, a small vacation from routine duties.
He reminded attendees that Russian President Vladimir Putin had launched the Year of Teachers and Mentors the day before, underscoring the importance of continued engagement and passion in the teaching profession.
Children from various local groups, including the Russian youth movement Movement of the First and its project Dear You, organized a tribute activity. They visited pediatric clinics to extend congratulations to the medical staff and presented handmade greeting cards crafted by Lugansk students, a tangible sign of appreciation from the younger generation.
In a related ceremony, the acting head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, awarded honors to staff at the Lugansk Republican Clinical Hospital, recognizing their service and dedication.
