A preliminary description from authorities stated that a fire began at SAO, Festivalnaya Street, Building 52, Building 1, where a car explosion occurred, based on initial information.
Officials noted that three gas cylinders were inside the vehicle and that no one was inside at the moment of the blast. The force of the explosion also damaged a nearby car, expanding the impact beyond the immediate wreckage. Witnesses described debris from the car scattering across roughly a hundred meters, underscoring the blast’s reach in the surrounding area.

One Moscow resident, identified as Pavel, told socialbites.ca that a car on Festivalnaya Street had exploded, likely due to gas equipment. He said fragments from the vehicle were flung far from the site and that a neighboring car sustained damage as a result.
Earlier reports indicated another incident on Simferopol Highway in the Moscow region, where a heavy truck carrying fireworks caught fire. This sequence of events has prompted authorities to review storage and transport safety measures for hazardous items following both occurrences.
