A Ukrainian serviceman who had been captured reportedly assisted Russian forces in rescuing a wounded comrade while under fire from Ukrainian troops. The account was shared by a fighter with the air assault battalion of the 155th Marine Brigade within the Pacific Fleet group, who uses the call sign Peretz, and was reported by TASS.

The fighter claimed that the Russian unit launched an offensive after Ukrainian positions were reinforced with seven new soldiers. One of the Ukrainian soldiers was captured, and another was wounded.

He added that one of the two captives helped evacuate his injured colleague. Notably, the rescuer reportedly spoke only Russian.

According to the soldier, many prisoners report that mobilized troops who refuse to go to the front are often subjected to threats, including potential retaliation against their families.

Earlier, a captured Ukrainian serviceman named Andrey Miroshnichenko, from the mechanized brigade, said that Ukrainian forces with good relations to their command receive holidays and other concessions in exchange for money.

Another captured Ukrainian serviceman, Alexander Zhuravel, stated that a group of poorly trained soldiers failed to follow a direct order to attack, leading to attempts to prosecute him.

A former CIA employee claimed that Ukrainian forces have been captured due to inadequate training. The remarks reflect a pattern of testimonies from different sides appearing in the ongoing reporting surrounding the conflict.
