For another year, the Cajamar cooperative bank renewed its commitment to Alicante’s business landscape by signing a renewal agreement with the Alicante State Labor Union, known as Uepal. Cajamar will continue as the principal sponsor of the Uepal Awards, now in its fourth edition, an event that recognizes leadership and collaboration across the province. The awards, set to take place in the Digital Zone on October 26, will honor individuals and organizations that drive economic development, show a strong regional commitment, and foster cooperative progress throughout the area.

The announced winners for this edition are AEPA, IBIAE, AEFA, and the Passenger Transport Management Association, also known as GTV. Additionally, the contributions of Ramón Mayo will be acknowledged as part of the award’s orbit this year.

We are excited to extend our partnership with the Cajamar Cooperative Group for another year to support these awards and highlight the work of numerous local entrepreneurs. Cajamar has consistently stood by Alicante’s business fabric and maintains a prominent presence across the region, providing essential support to help the local economy thrive, said Juan José Sellés, president of Uepal.

Manuel Nieto, Cajamar’s regional manager, underscored that the agreement reflects the organization’s ongoing commitment to Alicante’s business community and the importance of promoting and supporting local activities. He added that the Uepal Awards serve as a premium platform to recognize and showcase the efforts and commitments of individuals and companies that actively contribute to the well-being and advancement of Alicante society.

Cajamar’s cooperative banking model offers opportunities for joint ventures, including special financing lines and a range of products and services offered on highly favorable terms. These provisions are designed to support day-to-day operations and strengthen the competitive position of local businesses across the province.
