In a bus accident in Russia’s Perm Region, sixteen people were injured, including fifteen children. A criminal case has been started, according to the Regional Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. The organization noted that on August 19, while traveling along the Solikamsk-Krasnovishersk road, the driver of a passenger transport school bus lost control and veered off the roadway. This incident prompted prosecutors to open a case under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which concerns providing services that fail to meet safety requirements for life and health.
Earlier reports described another accident on August 11 in Sochi, where a touring SUV collision left nine people injured, including a child and a pregnant woman. At about the same time, the head of the Bryukhovetsky district in the Krasnodar Territory, Sergey Ganzha, who previously led a local children’s football team, was noted in connection with a separate crash along the Krasnodar-Yeisk corridor. The collision involved a minibus and a Gazelle passenger vehicle near the Krasnaya Polyana settlement. As a result, children from the Kanevskaya village, who were traveling to football matches in Krasnodar, sustained injuries.
In another report from Moscow, the driver of a van caused a chaotic scene, blocking as many as twenty vehicles, creating a dangerous bottleneck on a major road. Authorities across these incidents emphasize careful driver behavior, vehicle maintenance, adherence to traffic laws, and the ongoing investigations to determine fault and prevent recurrences in the future. The regional investigative services stress that any transport operator found to provide services that do not meet safety standards will face legal consequences, and the safety of passengers remains a top priority for regional authorities and law enforcement.
