The event occurred on February 22 near Koh Samui, where a 46-year-old traveler sought assistance after a slip resulted in a fall from a nearby waterfall. She described feeling sharp pain in her right leg and found herself unable to move without help.
Rescue teams arrived at the scene after approximately one hour of dispatch. Upon reaching the injured individual, responders assessed the condition of the right leg and confirmed a fracture near the ankle. The person was carefully placed on a stretcher and transported to a medical facility for further treatment.
It was noted that rescuers faced a challenging descent along a steep path, taking more than two hours to reach the base area where the patient could be moved to safety.
