Blue Origin’s New Shepard spacecraft completed its fourth NS-21 suborbital flight, with Start Broadcast carried on the company site to share the mission in real time. On board the capsule were six explorers who helped push the boundaries of commercial space travel. Among them was Evan Dick, Blue Origin’s first repeat customer, who previously flew on the NS-19 mission in December 2021. The crew also included Catia Ehazarreta, a former Jet Propulsion Laboratory engineer and the first Mexican woman to travel to space. She earned her spot on the flight through Space for Humanity, a nonprofit that sponsors space trips for individuals unable to afford them. Also present were pilot Hamish Harding, Brazilian engineer Victor Correa Hespaña, adventurer and businessman Jason Robinson, and navigator Victor Vescovo, known for his deep-ocean expeditions and mountaineering feats, including climbs of the world’s highest peaks and descents into the Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench.
