Benidorm Beach: A Landmark in Sustainable High-Rrise Development

The Benidorm Beach project stands as a significant addition to the city’s skyline, reflecting an anticipated income of 28 million and signaling robust momentum in development activity for the holding company, as reported by the Urbas Group, the owner of the Alicante firm, on Thursday.

In this venture, the organizer is Alibuilding from Alicante, which entrusted Ecisa with the construction of the new skyscraper due to its extensive experience in tall-building projects. The tower rises to 126 meters with 36 floors and sits just a few meters from Poniente Beach, poised to become Benidorm’s fifth-tallest structure upon completion. The project is already showing advanced progress on site.

Benidorm Beach features a remarkable high-elevation pool, among its many milestones, located on the 26th floor at a height of 80 meters above ground level.

Urbas stresses that the new skyscraper will stand as an iconic building, combining avant-garde design with the use of innovative, sustainable, and efficient technologies.

Ecisa, recognized as one of the most experienced construction firms globally, has built tall structures in Benidorm and in Qatar. In the Marina Baixa capital, the company traces its roots to the Peláez family, which separated from its shareholders in 2019 and has since led projects such as Mirador del Mediterráneo (32 floors), Edificio Neptuno (35 floors), Torre Don. Jorge (34 floors), Neguri Gane (44 floors), Gemelos 26 (35 floors), Sol Poniente 1 (28 floors), Sol Poniente 2 (33 floors), and Torres DOboe (31 floors), among others.

The company was also responsible for notable developments like the Bin Samikh (42 floors), the JW Marriott (53 floors), and the Waldorf Astoria (45 floors) hotels in Doha, Qatar. In addition to its standalone projects, Urbas has integrated expertise from other firms it has acquired, such as Construcciones Urrutia, the builder behind the Anboto Dorrea tower—the tallest residential building in the Basque Country, Bilbao.

Over the past two years, Urbas has strengthened its Infrastructure and Construction division by acquiring several firms, including Ecisa itself. With a solid portfolio of projects valued at approximately 1.6 billion euros by 2024, the group is currently steering the growth trajectory of the company through expanded capabilities and a diversified project mix.
