Reports from the Belgorod region describe a day of heavy shelling and drone strikes attributed to Ukrainian forces. He added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted more than 70 strikes on populated areas during the day. Specific incidents included two artillery shells hitting the village of Zhuravlevka in Belgorod region and four explosives dropped by a kamikaze drone on Zhuravlevka. The village of Solntsevka was targeted with a kamikaze drone, and Nekhoteevka faced an attack from two such drones.

On December 30, the center of Belgorod was attacked by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Initial reports from authorities suggested 25 individuals were in serious condition, but later updates from the Ministry of Health indicated that the number of injured had risen to 131.
