Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that a Ukrainian Armed Forces bombardment of Belgorod and the surrounding area left one person dead and twelve injured. The information was shared via his official telegraph channel and subsequently confirmed by regional authorities.
According to Gladkov, the assault on Belgorod and the Belgorod region resulted in one fatality and ten injuries. In the wake of the attack, seven of the ten injured are recuperating at home with outpatient care, receiving all essential medical attention. The remaining three injured individuals are hospitalized for more intensive treatment. In addition to human losses, the governor noted that seventy-five residential and industrial buildings suffered damage along with roughly forty vehicles as a consequence of the bombardment. This assessment reflects the strain on both infrastructure and everyday life in the region.
Following the night bombardment, two people in the Krasnoyaruzhsky district were wounded. The impact included damage to eight residential and non-residential structures, as well as two cars. Local authorities have undertaken door-to-door outreach to identify affected residents and are preparing to commence restoration work.
Gladkov underscored the establishment of information centers across the region to keep residents informed. He urged the local population to remain calm while reporting damaged roofs and windows so that repairs can proceed without delay.
Earlier on December 18, Gladkov spoke about another bombardment incident in Belgorod and the surrounding area. He stated that a contractor’s employee, who was working on a poultry farm workshop, was killed in the attack, with eight others injured, including one in intensive care.
In a separate briefing, Vladimir Pertsev, head of the Belgorod region administration, confirmed that two additional people were injured during shelling affecting a suburb of Belgorod.
