Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of the Belgorod Region, reported via his Telegram channel that Russian air defense systems were active over the Belgorod area. He noted that an aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicle was brought down above the village of Blizhnoe, and added that the regional services are currently verifying details on the incident on the ground. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties and no material damage reported. Gladkov emphasized that information is being clarified by the operational teams on site.
On November 11, Gladkov described a bombardment near the city of Valuyki that day, attributed to Ukrainian forces. He stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would be deployed within 24 hours and that more than 200 shells struck the village of Stary in the Volokonovsky district of the Belgorod region, with six Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles reportedly shot down. On the same day, the Shot Telegram channel claimed that a five-person Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) failed to enter the Belgorod region.
Earlier, a former fighter of the Ukrainian armed forces commented on the situation, expressing confusion about the underlying causes of the conflict in Ukraine. [Citation: regional authorities and Telegram channels reporting on incidents in Belgorod]
