The Belgorod region’s governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported via his Telegram channel that the Ukrainian armed forces conducted repeated shelling of the village of Urazovo, located in the Valuysky urban district. According to Gladkov, a private house had its summer kitchen demolished by a shell, while another dwelling sustained damage to an outbuilding and shattered windows. He added that power lines and natural gas connections were damaged as a result of the attack. Fortunately, there were no casualties, as confirmed by the regional head. Emergency and civilian protection services were immediately dispatched to the scene to assess damage, secure the area, and assist residents as needed.
Earlier updates from Gladkov indicated that the Russian air defense network had been active in the Belgorod region, reporting the destruction of two Ukrainian unmanned aircraft systems within regional airspace. On the morning of September 25, Gladkov stated that Russian air defense interceptors engaged and shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle above Grayvoronsky urban district, identifying the target as an aircraft-type drone. This follows previous reports that Russian air defense systems had neutralized another drone approaching the Bryansk region.
These incidents underscore the ongoing tension in border areas and the broader regional security situation. Local authorities repeatedly emphasize the importance of civilian safety measures, rapid emergency response, and continuous monitoring of airspace activity to minimize risk to residents.
