Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov announced via his Telegram channel that Ukrainian Armed Forces have again used unmanned aerial vehicles to strike the region.
In the Krasnoyaruzhsky district, a woman sustained injuries from a drone attack in the village of Vyazovoe. She was initially transported to the Krasnoyaruzh Central Regional Hospital with wounds and a concussion caused by a mine explosion, and was later transferred to Hospital No. 2 in Belgorod for further treatment.
Another drone exploded near a parked car in Shebekino. The injured woman with shrapnel wounds was moved to a hospital in Belgorod, and the incident also damaged the targeted car.
In the village of Yasnye Zori, a drone attack set a car on fire, causing significant damage and prompting emergency response efforts.
Earlier remarks from Gladkov indicated that Ukrainian forces bombed four settlements within the Belgorod region. On the morning of August 17, the Belgorod regional governor stated that Shebekino, the regional center, had been targeted in a bombing incident.
Reports also noted that several Ukrainian drones were shot down along Russia’s border region, limiting further damage but underscoring ongoing aerial threats to border communities.
