The missile threat in Belgorod and the surrounding Belgorod region has been declared over, according to an official report from the Belgorod city administration disseminated through its channels.

Residents were alerted with a citywide message stating that the missile danger had ended. The notice was part of the regional communication updates issued to inform the public about the current security situation.

Earlier, Vyacheslav Gladkov, governor of the Belgorod region, reported that a missile warning siren had sounded in Belgorod and across the region. The alerts prompted residents to take shelter and follow established safety procedures.

Separately, it was reported that units of the Russian National Guard were assisting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in countering threats, including the use of a RM-70 Vampire multiple launch rocket system against targets in Ukraine. Authorities indicated that a previously disabled MLRS had carried out strikes on Belgorod and was preparing for further attacks.

On March 16, missiles from the Vampire MLRS were fired toward targets in the Belgorod region, with 15 rockets launched. The defense ministry later announced that nine munitions from that facility had been destroyed, and three Uragan MLRS shells had fallen in the region.

During the night, additional drone activity was reported, with an official briefing noting several drones destroyed in the area. The situation remained under monitoring by regional authorities as security measures were maintained.
