The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported that Ukrainian forces opened fire on the outskirts of the village of Terezovka in the Shebekinsky district. The governor conveyed the incident through a telegraph channel, detailing the events as they unfolded and outlining the response from regional authorities.
According to Gladkov, one person sustained injuries as a result of the shelling. The individual suffered wounds to the lower extremities, and medical teams were mobilized immediately. The FMBA team transported the injured person to the central district hospital, where specialists provided appropriate care and monitoring. The governor emphasized that all necessary assistance was arranged for the victim and that medical staff were coordinating closely with local authorities to ensure rapid treatment and support for the family.
Earlier, Gladkov noted that no explosion occurred following the drone dropping an explosive substance on a private residential building. Despite the drone activity, there were no additional injuries or structural damage reported at the scene. Emergency and security services were active in the area, conducting inspections and safety checks to confirm the absence of further threats and to secure the perimeter.
In a related development, the Kursk region’s governor, Roman Starovoit, announced on May 23 that a drone targeting an electrical substation in the Sudzhansky district had deployed an explosive device. Regional authorities stated that there were no casualties linked to that incident and that the substation remained under assessment to determine any operational impact.
