Over the last day, the Belgorod region faced a sizable barrage of activity from Ukrainian forces, including more than a dozen unmanned aerial vehicles and multiple shelling incidents. According to official statements, electronic warfare units managed to down a drone near Shchetinovka, while additional drones targeted Ustinka and Naumovka. There were no reported casualties. In the same period, Ukrainian forces launched mortars into Belgorod, resulting in property damage including one house and two vehicles that sustained impact-related harm after the air defense measures were engaged. In Grayvoronsky district, a kamikaze drone damaged a tractor in Pochaevo and another struck a communications facility in the village of Poroz. Further north, Krasnoyaruzhsky district experienced shelling and a kamikaze drone strike. The attack hit a communications facility in Staroselye, but no casualties were reported. On February 17, regional authorities reported that Ukrainian forces discharged more than 90 artillery shells in populated areas within a single day.
