Belgorod Official Reports Casualty and Damage from Recent Shelling
Vyacheslav Gladkov, the head of the Belgorod region, stated that a 14-year-old boy was injured during shelling in the Graivoronsky district. The update was shared on his news telegraph channel. According to Gladkov, the youth was on a street at the moment of the attack and suffered a concussion. The boy received first aid at a local hospital and was monitored for further injuries.
The shelling also damaged a private household in the same village, with a bullet causing harm to property. In addition, Gladkov noted that the region previously faced financial limitations that hindered the restoration of buildings damaged in prior bombardments. He emphasized ongoing financial pressures in the area that complicate recovery efforts.
In the Shebekinsky district, which contains three of the most heavily affected settlements, Gladkov reported that specialist services have not yet arrived to begin restoration work. He pointed to the challenges of mobilizing resources for reconstruction in these severely impacted communities.
According to the governor, the night of June 5 saw renewed bombardment in the Belgorod region. One civilian sustained injuries during the attack, and regional authorities confirmed damage to one of the area’s energy facilities as a result of the strike.
