Belgorod Drone Attacks Affect Multiple Settlements; Casualties and Damage Reported

Reports from the Telegram channel run by regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov indicate that five settlements in the Belgorod region were hit by drones linked to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The blasts and debris were scattered across multiple locales, and local authorities say the incidents are being assessed for damage and safety implications across the affected communities.

In the Volokonovsky district near the village of Novoe, one of the drones struck a combine harvester. The machine sustained minor damage, but the event underscores the persistent risk to agricultural infrastructure in border areas. Local residents reported a momentary disruption as the incident unfolded, followed by rapid on-site assessment from emergency teams and utility workers.

Within the Grayvoronsky urban area, the village of Kozinka experienced a UAV strike that damaged the roof of a private residence. The interruption to daily life in this community highlights how civilian homes remain in the line of fire amid ongoing hostilities, with residents left to evaluate repairs and the potential need for temporary housing arrangements.

In the Krasnoyaruzhsky district, the village of Terebreno saw an FPV drone damage a social facility’s roof. Nearby in the village of Prilesye, a drone release of explosives damaged a car, illustrating the varied targets that drones have struck across the region. Officials stress that the pattern of attacks continues to affect civilian assets and transport routes, raising concerns about safety and insurance for residents and local businesses alike.

Additionally, a drone damaged a private house in the Shebekinsky urban area, in the village of Murom, further increasing the number of households affected by the recent drone activity. Investigations are focused on identifying the drones involved, tracking their trajectories, and reinforcing protective measures for homes and essential infrastructure in the border zone.

Gladkov noted that operational services are working on the ground to assess the full scope of damage, coordinate emergency response, and support residents as needed. He also mentioned that civilians in nearby areas were already receiving assistance and safety advisories as part of ongoing stabilization efforts in the region.

Earlier reports indicated that seven civilians were injured during the shelling of Shebekino, underscoring the human toll of the ongoing conflict. In addition, authorities have disclosed that more than 100 submunitions were discovered in the Belgorod region, signaling the lingering danger from explosive remnants and the need for careful cleanup and public safety measures as communities return to daily routines.
