The information came to light through official channels tied to Minsk News and statements attributed to a representative of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Sukhodolsky.
During the session, a female instructor invited the student to share if she faced any distressing memories. The student’s facial expression shifted, prompting the teacher to ask whether she needed support.
The student revealed that she had endured sexual abuse by her grandfather for a decade, and that the grandfather is now 66 years old.
The teacher encouraged openness and advised the student to inform her parents. The teacher also contacted the student’s mother to ensure the child could receive appropriate care and protection.
Parents subsequently reported the incident to the police. The student explained that as a child she perceived the abuse as play, but as she grew older she began to understand the gravity of what was happening. She described fear of speaking out, embarrassment, and concern that her accounts would not be believed.
The student’s mother stated that she did not notice unusual behavior in the relationship between the grandfather and the grandson. The grandfather denies the allegations, and investigators have opened a case to examine the circumstances.
