The Belarusian Interior Ministry, led by Ivan Kubrakov, reported that the country’s entire security apparatus is performing beyond expectations to safeguard state stability. This assessment was relayed by RIA News.

In a recent interview with the ONT TV channel, Kubrakov emphasized that the daily work of law enforcement agencies often remains out of sight for the public, who typically observe only a fraction of their activities. He explained that some officers concentrate on road safety and public order, while a larger portion operates with speed and discretion to gather information. The overarching aim of these efforts is crime prevention and the preservation of public safety. The minister underscored that Belarus solves security challenges through proactive measures and preventive strategies.

Kubrakov noted that police alone cannot guarantee security, calling for a coordinated effort across the entire power structure. He drew attention to heightened tensions at Belarus’ borders with Ukraine, Poland, and Lithuania. Police units, including special forces and riot police, assist border guards in maintaining border security and addressing situations in border regions.

The minister reassured colleagues that if additional support is required, there would be no unnecessary delays or formalities, and assistance would be provided promptly. He stressed that security teams act proactively, and upon receiving information about potential crimes within Belarus, especially plans to inflict harm on citizens, responses would be swift and definite.

Earlier reports indicated that a Belarusian national was detained in Poland on suspicions of spying on behalf of Russia. These developments highlight ongoing regional security concerns and the continued emphasis on cooperative enforcement efforts across borders.
