In Barnaul, the brick exterior of a tall residential building collapsed, raining debris onto parked cars and damaging several of them. The Altai Region Prosecutor’s Office reported the incident, which drew immediate attention from local authorities.

Officials say the collapse happened on September 12 along Pavlovsky Road. Earlier reports indicated that the facade, stretching from the 11th floor down to the third, fell onto vehicles stationed near the building, causing significant damage.

Following the event, the district attorney visited the site to observe the aftermath and plan interactions with residents while coordinating next steps. The city’s Industrial Zone prosecutor’s office has launched a formal investigation to establish the causes and circumstances surrounding the collapse. Evaluations of the maintenance and management organization responsible for the building will be conducted as part of the planned procedures to determine accountability and preventive measures for similar structures in the area.

Separately, in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, an excavator at a construction site became dislodged and fell, crushing a parked car nearby. This incident is being reviewed by local authorities to understand its mechanics and any contributing factors that may affect nearby streets and property.
