Joep Oliu, the president of Banco Sabadell, will succeed Miquel Molins as the head of the Banco Sabadell Foundation after 13 years in the role. Molins is stepping down, closing a remarkable chapter within the group in which he has served as president of the Foundation and director of the Banco Sabadell Collection. Molins holds a doctorate in History and Theory of Contemporary Art. Since 2011, he has led the Banco Sabadell Foundation and directed the Banco Sabadell Collection. In academia, he has distinguished himself as a professor at EINA, the Massana School in Barcelona, and the Autonomous University of Barcelona; he has supervised theses in the Metrópolis Master program at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and led the MACBA. During the 1994–95 season, he was a visiting professor in the Art History, Theory and Criticism Department at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
