Autumn has taken hold, and warmth remains the leading star across much of the region. A well-known TV meteorologist has issued a breezy warning about the trend: high daytime temperatures are set to persist in the coming days. The message is clear: swimsuit season might be making a surprising return in several pockets of the country.
This week’s weather
Because strong anticyclones keep cloud cover away from the peninsula, calm and pleasant conditions will prevail across most of the country. There is a caveat, though: some coastal zones may see low clouds and the possibility of light showers along the Galician coast, accompanied by brisk breezes.

The summer atmosphere is slowly returning
Early in the week, temperatures have begun to inch upward, and the trend is expected to continue. Midweek, many places should see thermometers near 30°C, a level likely to rise toward the end of the week and into the weekend.

Forecasts point to afternoon highs climbing in cities like Bilbao, Zaragoza and Jaén to around 32°C. Badajoz, Granada and Lleida are expected to see 33°C or higher. Córdoba and Seville look set to lead with daytime highs around 34°C, signaling a true taste of summer for the weekend.
Heat for the weekend
The pattern of warmth continues into the next weekend, with the air staying fairly hot across much of the region. Temperatures may climb a bit more, and the Guadalquivir valley could see notable peaks. Some alerts for heat are possible in southern areas as September nears its end and October begins.
