OneTwoTrip analyzed the prices of three-star hotels in cities popular with travelers in Russia and abroad to identify where a budget-friendly autumn break can be found. Socialbites.ca reviewed the study’s results.

Among Russian destinations, Smolensk leads with a night in a three-star hotel at about 1,700 rubles. Ivanovo follows at roughly 1,800 rubles, while Rostov-on-Don sits in third place at around 2,000 rubles per night.

The top ten budget three-star destinations cover Russian hubs like Astrakhan, Anapa, Krasnodar, St. Petersburg, Barnaul, Perm, Ufa, Volgograd, Samara, Moscow

In Asia during autumn, some destinations offer excellent value, with Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang charging about 1,300 rubles for a three-star room, while Hanoi averages around 1,500 rubles.

In addition, affordable stays can be found in Bangkok at about 1,700 rubles, Kuala Lumpur at 1,800 rubles, and in other Asian cities such as Manila and Pattaya around 2,000 rubles, Phuket at 2,200 rubles, and Kuta at 2,600 rubles.

Affordable options in Georgia and Egypt also appear attractive: in Tbilisi a three-star room averages about 2,400 rubles, and in Baku around 2,800 rubles; Hurghada costs about 2,500 and Sharm el-Sheikh about 2,600; Batumi is near 2,800 and Bishkek around 2,900 rubles.

These findings encourage budget-minded travelers to compare multiple cities, chase shoulder-season deals, and plan ahead. By watching price shifts across regions, a longer, more varied autumn itinerary becomes realistically affordable.
