Technically described as a compact 1×1 meter jet ski, the craft operates with an electric motor and relies on four thrusters for steering instead of a conventional rudder. A solar panel paired with a lithium battery powers the system, allowing the boat to undertake extended missions for up to four hours between charges.
For scientific missions, the vessel integrates a multi-beam echo sounder. This instrument emits acoustic waves and captures the reflections and travel times of echoes to infer the three-dimensional characteristics of the seabed and to differentiate material types.
