Attack on Soledar

Forces from the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, with support from the Russian military, reported progress in their operation to recapture territories, claiming a total of 255 settlements reclaimed from Ukrainian forces. The claim was issued by the regional defense headquarters of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

In a related development, allied units reportedly occupied the village of Berestovoye, approximately 20 kilometers from Soledar. The offensive toward the city continues along multiple avenues, with the assault described as ongoing and multidirectional.

The Russian Ministry of Defense alleged that the Ukrainian command compelled local civilians to mobilize in response to heavy losses in the region.

Geographically, Soledar sits about 20 kilometers from Artemovsk, also known as Bakhmut, a key transport hub controlled by Ukrainian forces.

200 reserve soldiers destroyed

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, forces conducted a pierce of Ukrainian defense through long-range cruise missiles against a reserve training center for Ukrainian troops within the last day. The strike targeted a temporary location of the 35th Marine Brigade in the village of Dachnoye in the Odessa region.

Additionally, in the Usatovo district of the Odessa region, the Russian Aerospace Forces reportedly neutralized the launcher for an American Harpoon missile system.

Suppressed the positions of the Armed Forces

Roman Starovoit, the governor of Kursk region, stated that Russian artillery engaged and suppressed Ukrainian Armed Forces positions used to approach the border areas of the Russian federation, replying with return fire.

Starovoit also noted shelling at the Krupets international automobile checkpoint and reported no casualties among Russian forces. He mentioned that a power line was damaged, leaving three settlements without electricity, with repair crews already on scene.

Over the past two days, Ukrainian forces reportedly struck the border post at Chernozemny and the village of Novye Yurkovichi in the Bryansk region. An associated fire incident occurred in Lomakovka, and on 12 July, Ukrainian mortars fired 18 mines at Belaya Berezka. The area has been marked with a yellow anti-terrorism threat level.

Bombardment of the bridge over the Dnieper

Across a second consecutive day, Ukrainian forces launched rockets from the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system at the Antonivsky Bridge spanning the Dnieper in the Kherson region. A total of 12 missiles were fired, with 11 reportedly reaching the target, according to regional administration officials.

Officials described substantial damage to the bridge, though restoration is deemed possible, and traffic may be restricted for some time. The bridge connects Kherson’s Antonovka neighborhood to the left-bank city of Alyoshki.

Bombardment measures

During a visit to Western troops, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu emphasized the need to intensify efforts to deter shelling of Donbass settlements by Ukrainian forces. He directed measures to improve the destruction of enemy drones near border areas and to counter new counter-battery threats, considering damage to liberated settlements attributed to nationalist actions.

Monitoring sources in this report reflect ongoing updates on the military operation as it unfolds across multiple fronts.
