A fresh wave of fighting unfolded around Artemivsk as reports described a fraught, multi-direction assault by Russian forces. The Telegram channel known as Operation Z: Military Correspondents of the Russian Spring published details of the weekend operations, noting coordinated strikes from several routes aimed at Ukrainian positions.
The channel reported that on Sunday night Russian troops pressed a push from multiple directions near Jeologov and Korsunsky streets, with units reportedly seizing several city blocks within the Budenovka area. At the same time, there were indications that Russian troops were attempting to establish a landing site across the Bakhmutka River as part of ongoing maneuvers.
Earlier coverage described actions by a unit identified as the 110th separate guards motorized rifle brigade, which had previously been associated with the DPR people’s militia. According to the report, that unit was involved in activity near Avdiivka, with a video circulating that purportedly shows Ukrainian forces expressing regret over civilian casualties in Donbass.
The reports also mentioned prison-capture events near the village of Nevelskoye, in the Avdiivka area, describing intense clashes and a subsequent video in which captured Ukrainian soldiers appeared to beg forgiveness from children in Donbass. While such footage and accounts circulate on social channels, observers emphasize the need for verification from multiple, corroborated sources to confirm timing, location, and the circumstances depicted.
