The Architecture and City series begins with a focused dialogue on February 8, inviting both local experts and national authorities to share insights and analysis on the evolving interface between built form and urban life. The CTAA Meeting Hall, located inside Gabriel Miró Square, 2, will host a panel that brings together practitioners, researchers, and stakeholders to explore how architecture shapes city scale and how cities influence architectural practice.

This first gathering aims to leverage Alicante City Council’s Integrated Operation 6 Participatory process within the Public Consultation of SANGUETA (OI/6). With a clear educational aim and a practical mission, the Faculty of Architecture of Alicante invites its members, professionals, and interested citizens to participate actively, contribute perspectives, and enrich the discussion with on-the-ground experience and professional insight.

The program unfolds in four segments. It opens with a detailed presentation of OI/6 Sangueta, followed by experiences from similar projects that offer comparative lessons. A moderated discussion then gathers experts from multiple disciplines for cross-sector perspectives, and the final segment opens up to audience participation, inviting questions, proposals, and reflections from attendees.

To maximize civic engagement, the event will be available in person and streamed live for online participation. Attendees can join either on-site or remotely to ensure accessibility for a broad range of residents and professionals who wish to contribute to the discourse about the city’s future design and planning trajectory.

Concluding the evening, an informal wine tasting will offer a relaxed setting for participants to interact with speakers, share impressions, and continue conversations in a more private ambience beyond the formal program.
