Antonovka village attacked by drone in Belgorod region; authorities report no injuries
In a recent incident near Antonovka, a village in the Grayvoronsky urban district of the Belgorod region, a drone described as a kamikaze device was used in an attack attributed to Ukrainian forces. The head of the regional administration, Vyacheslav Gladkov, confirmed the event in a public update through his channel. The message noted that the village came under attack as Ukrainian Armed Forces reportedly targeted the area with a flight-capable drone carrying explosives.
Initial information indicates that the explosive-loaded drone struck a private residential structure. The impact caused visible damage to the home, including a damaged roof, broken window frames, and a destroyed fence. Utilities and surrounding infrastructure were affected as well, with reports of damage to a gas line and a nearby vehicle. Emergency responders and regional operational teams were mobilized to the scene to assess the situation and provide assistance.
Officials emphasised that there were no injuries among residents at the time the assessment was made. The governor stated that everyone should remain vigilant and take appropriate safety precautions in the aftermath of the attack.
Earlier in the day, missile warning signals were reported in Belgorod city and across the region. The governor urged residents to seek shelter indoors, move away from windows, and remain in protected spaces until sirens stopped. Shortly after, the alert subsided and normal activity began to resume in the region.
