Anthill returns after a summer hiatus as the show takes a short break in early July and gears up for a comeback in a few weeks. Preparations are already underway, and Antena 3 has kicked off promotions for the program, which will start its 17th season in September.
The Pablo Motos program is once again backed by a large guest lineup, signaling that top-tier stars will be part of the new episode run. A voiceover for the network’s promo exclaims,
“More than 20 Oscar Awards, more than 40 Michelin Stars, more than 60 world champions, more than 100 Goya Awards and more than 200 Grammy Awards were not enough for us. That’s why we return with so much more.” That message, aired by Atresmedia, sets the tone for a season packed with high-profile appearances.
At this stage, the network has not disclosed the exact guests set to kick off the season. The program remains a prime-time anchor for the channel. In the previous year, the slot known as El Hormiguero delivered its best historical data, boasting an average audience share around 15.6 percent and reaching about 2.4 million viewers per episode.
Ahead of the farewell on Thursday, June 30, the program marked a milestone with 2,500 performances dedicated to honoring the workers who keep the variety show running, underscoring the show’s appreciation for the teams behind the scenes and live production.
