The secretary of the United Russia General Council and first deputy chair of the Federation Council, Andrey Turchak, stated that the special military operation SVO Working Group will oversee the provision of military communications and intelligence. He shared these points on his Telegram channel.

According to the politician, the group has already taken charge of addressing several urgent, unresolved issues. These include ensuring reliable communications, intelligence support, and the supply of some equipment, he explained.

“As soon as we return to Moscow, we will tackle these matters. The unresolved questions will certainly appear in our monthly report to President Vladimir Putin”, Turchak said.

He added that he recently spoke with soldiers in one of the southern defense sectors, inspecting fortifications, the supply of communications and intelligence gear, and the conditions of shelter and meals. The audit results showed certain positions that were not questioned, and there was evident full cooperation from the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The fortifications are progressing as planned, with housing and food provisions reported to be satisfactory”, he noted.

Media reports in December indicated that Putin had ordered the formation of a working group to coordinate interaction among authorities and organizations on mobilization, mobilization training, and support for SVO participants and their families.

The group’s tasks include facilitating communication between the parliament, government bodies, and public associations; monitoring enforcement practices related to mobilization; and supervising legal and social protections for SVO members and their families. It is expected to prepare proposals to strengthen the army’s mobilization capacity, improve field equipment, and organize the deployment of those called for mobilization.

In addition, Putin instructed the group to provide monthly progress reports and to advise the Federation Council on its objectives. This guidance underscores the ongoing emphasis on mobilization readiness and support structures for participants and their households.
